Mr. Hole is a trustee of the City of Fort Lauderdale Police and Fire Retirement System where he has served for over fifteen years.  In the past he served on the Cooper City Police Officers Retirement Plan for almost two years.  Though now retired, he served 27 years as a professional Fire Fighter for the City of Fort Lauderdale.  In addition, he served on the Executive Board of the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 765 for 20 years, 16 as Secretary. For 16 years, he was trustee of the Fort Lauderdale Fire Fighters Medical Insurance Trust Fund. In addition, he has served on the Education Committee of the Florida Public Pension Trustees Association (FPPTA). 

Mr. Hole received associate degrees from Broward Community College for both Business Administration and Fire Administration.  He also attended Florida Atlantic University for Business Administration.  He has attended numerous schools and seminars on public pension plans offered by the following organizations: the pension attorney firm of Klausner and Kaufman, the pension attorney firm of Bernstein Litowitz Berger and Grossmann, the Institute for International Research, the National Fire and Police Pension Fund Association, the Corporate Library, the National Conference of Public Employee Retirement Systems, the Institutional Investor Institute, the Financial Research Associates, the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School in conjunction with the IFEBP, the State of Florida Department of Management Services Division of Retirement in conjunction with the Florida State University, and the Harvard Law School Program for Advanced Trustees Studies in conjunction with NCPERS.  Mr. Hole has been a speaker for the Investment Management Institute, the Information Management Network, Opal Financial Group, and the Florida Public Pension Trustees Association.  He has been a moderator for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.

Mr. Hole holds the following certifications: TMP (Trustees Masters Program) from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, CPPT (Certified Public Pension Trustee) from the Florida Public Pension Trustees Association, CPP (Chartered Pension Professional) from the Institute of Chartered Pension Professionals, CAPPP (Certificate of Achievement in Public Plan Policy) in both employee pensions and employee health from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, CAPPP Scholar Series Certification in Board Governance also from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, and lastly CT (Chartered Trustee) from the Institute For Pension Funds in conjunction with the George Washington University.
